'08 z51 with Mild to Wild exhaust. The switch stopped working this week. it doesn't switch to the "on" mode, just flaps open all the time. I took it to the small local dealership, and they had no clue what the exhaust was or how to fix it. I switched the battery in the remote, no help. Any thoughts for quick fixes or areas to check???? otherwise it's a trip to the "big city" chevy dealer. thanks
Check the wiring and connections, especially the ground, for the controller in the passenger footwell. It's rare but a couple of those controllers have gone bad but usually it's just a wiring/connection issue.
u never know, but I right outta the box got a bad controller, it never worked, sent it back, installed new one, no probs. since. It's a realitively simple system but u cud have electrical malfunction (either in unit, blown fuse, or w/ connections), u cud have vacuum prob., or it cud b mechanical, least likely, but still possible. So start w/ elect connects, then unit by using volt meter to see if when activated you get juice, no juice prob. bad unit, then vacuum, finally mech., physically open & close both flaps & actuators. Process of elimination.
My anxiously awaited Mild to Wild was a Bust. Went back to Pulling the Fuse as needed and re-ordered. 2nd unit was and is flawless. Both installed identical so only reasonable assumption is that defects to sneak out to us.

Installed the M2W in my 09 Z06, 35 months ago. Replaced the battery last year in one of the remotes. Other then that, it has preformed 100%.

I'm not sure that's a Chevy dealer issue. First thing I'd try is removing the connection at the fuse box and installing the fuse. If the exhaust goes to quiet mode then you would know that the NPP is working and the problem is in the M to W switch. Process of elimination.

Excellent response sounds like a sure solution to me.
