Default Sirus converter

I just took out my XM converter out and put in the sirus one for Gm, hooked up just like on my Z06 and put antenna between headliner and roof, this gave me all kind of GOOD reception on my Z06, just did the same on my ZR1, it constantly loses signal, DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH THE CARBON FIBER ROOF PANEL?

You can use the stock antenna, just pull the plastic connector shell from the stock plug at the original XM module, Inside you will see the same basic connector as your sirius antenna and plug it in.

Thank you, I know you can use that, but found the regular Sirrus antenna that came with the converter to work a lot better in the Z06, will try the stock antenna, just wandered why and if the carbon fiber had anything to do with it.
Thanks
