I have a 06 z and once in a while while shifting gears it almost feels hike there is something stoping you from puting the car into gear. I have a skip shift eliminator, but can it gate you out of a gear sometimes, or can there be something else going on?
Okay. 3rd gear shouldn't be a problem. Are you keeping up with the clutch fluid maintenance? Do you know about the Ranger method for changing the clutch fluid regularly to keep it clean? If the clutch is hanging or not working quite right it can affect shifting.
As for 1st gear, your '06 has the T56 trans which has a known design flaw with the way 1st gear teeth are shaped that causes 1st gear block-out when trying to shift to 1st from Neutral when stopped. If that's what you're talking about then here's an explanation by Talon90 that should help.
