Anyone have any suggestions on brake discs for a 2007 Coupe (basic 400Horse - and not boosted nor modified). In 4 years, current discs will have been turned 3 times. I AM NOT a hard driver nor do I brake hard - quite the opposite. This car is a paddle shift and I typically downshift to minimize using the brakes as much as possible. The Mrs. brakes hard (on the Maxima) and I am doing my best to explain the consequences of braking hard on the equipment but not sure I'm getting through . Also, she does not drive the Vette (her decision). All to say that yes, I am well aware how driving habits and braking hard can affect the warping of the discs. Soooo ... does anybody know of any aftermarket discs that are not so susceptible to heat warp? I'm not a racer so the thought of paying for super high performance discs as if I plan to use them for racing doesn't sit well with the wallet. My vehicle is a daily driver and has appx 51K miles on it. Dealer technician runs into this frequently and had a few suggestions for me (to order over internet and then bring to them for installation).
Thanks for the response Gering. I have to say that the link you provided points to discs and pads that are way out of my league financially for a daily driver. Over $700 just for discs (4) and it appears that the pads are about $250 per wheel? Comes to about $1700 for the whole shooting match. (also the pads specify that they are not meant to replace OEM equipment and are for racing)
Have any other ideas for something that lasts but not designed for super high performance racing? I admit, it may just be the going prices for brake assemblies whether it's OEM or racing. I really haven't priced OEM yet.

While I like and use the AFX rotors, I still use the OEM Z51 pads with them for my DD with no problems. Here is another website that may help you out.
After market quality rotors, Dba 4000 series and Carbotech 1521 brake pads. Check tire rack for bestpricing on rotors, pads F $144 R $124 less 7% forum discount. I will be happy to help you.
