I recently installed a killer bee intake on my 2008 c6. I cut 2 softball size holes in my radiator shroud to allow in more cold air. Do I need to worry about water getting inside there?
I just did the same mod this morning to include installing the killerbee intake. I researched the forums up and down and found that no one has had any issues with rain water getting sucked into the intake.
I will however tell you that it has been raining cats and dogs for the past few weeks in South Florida to include today. I took the car for a drive on the highway at 70 mph and on slightly puddled streets during the heavy rain. Once I got to my destination (approx 15 miles), I popped the hood and noticed that there where water droplets on the plastic around the intake but mainly near the cut shroud area.
I have not noticed any performance issues but I will keep you all posted.
