Default Brake Fluid Change

Hey all! Would using the "Ranger" style method for keeping the clutch fluid clean work with the brake fluid resevoir? Or would you need to "bleed" the brakes each time? Thanks

I came across a thread just a few days ago that talked about this. One poster didn't think that would be good enough because the brake fluid in the lines doesn't travel back up into the reservoir. While you would have clean fluid it in that, ultimately the fluid in the lines would never get changed so that is why you need to bleed the brakes. In that thread it was never proven just talked about.

hmmmmm, I would have to wonder what the "resevoir" is for if it does not cycle at least some amount of fluid through the system???

Bleed the brakes properly to ensure all the old fluid is replaced. One of the forum vendors has speed bleeders that you can install to make it a one man job.

The biggest problem with brake fluid is that it absorbs moisture from the air. Since you need to open the reservoir each time you do a Ranger job, that's allowing in a lot of fresh air for very little fluid exchange.
