Default X Pipe
GM offers a performance X pipe to replace the standard H pipe on C6's does any one know what the advantage of the 'x' verses the 'h' using the stock mufflers?

There would be nearly no advantage at all on a stock setup like you're describing.

Not worth the trouble of switching it.

it produces slightly more power according to some

most people talk about doing it to make it sound nicer though

Probably not much. GM does not increase the HP output when the X pipe appeared. Of course, they do not measure HP at the rear wheels, tho.

Well they increased horsepower for the NPP exhaust. No reason they couldn't have for the X-pipe if they felt it made a difference.
