I'm not too worried about swapping out the input and/or output shafts if that is the only difference. I'm looking for some input regarding case dimensions and shifting linkage. Make or break differences in the two applications.

The internals are similar but they have different ratios. You will need new front cover (Ford is one piece bellhousing/front cover), tailshaft housing, main shaft, input shaft and all new shifter shaft and related parts. Since Ford TR6060 has a different length input shaft, you will need to replace the input shaft along with cluster shaft. Once you replace the cluster shaft, 1-3 gears on the main shaft has to be replaced to match the cluster shaft gears. At the end, you will use the main case and misc parts in the trans (overdrive gears, bearings, snap rings etc). Not worth it IMO.
