Default Difference between 2005 and 2006+ 6speed transmission / interchangeable?

Just wondering what the exact differences are between 2005 C6 6 speed transmission and 2006-2007.

I have a 2007 C6 Auto and looking for 6 speed swap, and I can get a 2005 6 speed tranny for a really good price. Wondering whats different. I know Torque tube is all the same in all 6 speeds 2005+.

Thank you!

The trans is the same, the intermediate housing is different. If the car is a Z51 then you will either need to block off the oil line or install a trans cooler.

The next question that needs to be answered is will the A6 intermediate housing work with that 05 trans. My guess is no.
