Help, the weather is getting cool at night and my key fob doesn't work in the morning until the temperature warms up. If I put a portable heater in the car and warm the temperature inside up for a while it will work again. My thought is the receiver, has ayone had similar problems? Any ideas?
Hmmm, haven't heard of heating the interior to get the fob to work.
The usual suspects are fob battery and car battery. Is it possible that the portable heater is heating the car battery enough to make it work? Or somehow the fob is getting heated by body heat in your pocket or something like that?

But on really cold winter days when I had it hanging outside of my pocket for too long it's old weakened battery wouldn't open the car until I really warmed it up in my hands.
A new fob battery fixed that right up.
