Starting Issue
I placed this on the General forum as well.
It started intermittent, now I cannot get her started. I can get in the car as the FOB works fine to open doors, trunk and lock, even set or shut off alarm. I step on the brake and push the start button, and then everything shuts off completely and shows a check engine light. If you wait long enough it appears as the system resets itself and runs through its self-diagnostic routine. Changed battery in FOB and the battery itself is new. I swapped out the old battery this afternoon. I also swapped the crank and ignition relays with rear defrost. DIC reads 12.2-12.3 VDC. Brake switch must be working otherwise the car would not let me attempt to start. DIC warns me to place foot on brake to start.
08 C6 Coupe ZHZ LS3 Auto.
No mods to power train at all.
Any suggestions? Helpful suggestions please.
