OK -- Had a airbag warning light come on today after i had my car detailed... I thought WTF did they do to my Vette.,, but before running back to the detailer or taking it into the shop, I found the problem.
Turns out it was a very simple fix.. I simple readjusted my seat and the light went off !!
Seems the detailer had moved my seat too far back and down ( I have a convertible ) ..... so if anyone gets that warning light, play with your seat FIRST before running to the mechanic...
Thanks guy for that bit of info. I am having the same problem with my vert. Have not taken it to the shop yet. Will try adjusting the seat tonight. Problem surfaced shortly after getting back from the dyno shop. Thanks again.
I had the same thing happen in my 05 coupe. Turned out the wiring under the seat was too short and/or routed incorrectly causing the harness to get caught in the seat track (broken wire(s). Dealer fixed it, but problem came back and then the seat stopped moving.
Again, the air bag wiring harness had not been routed properly and the power wire to seat control module (on the underside of the seat.....a real pain to get out when the seat is a long way back with no power....i.e.: we could not get at the rear seat track bolts) was broken.
