Chevy Hi Perf Cam ???
I was at the local dealership today, (my daughter just bought a new Malibu) anyway one of the service Tec's who does work on the side, said I'd get very good results if I installed the Chevy Hi Perf. Cam..
I told him I had just gotten KOOKS Headers, and he said that cam is great in the LS2 ???? I have no idea??
Also he said that on an LS2 the heads have to be removed to put in a new cam ???
I "Thought" I had read someplace the the heads DO NOT have to be removed for a cam install....
I was going to have the headers done next week, but if I can get a cam installed at the same time for "not TOO much more" I'd like to do that .....
Anyone know about removing the heads to install a cam....

You don't have to remove heads for a cam install.
A cam install has nothing to do with a header install and will be much more expensive.
Please tell me a dealership is not installing your headers.
And finally, GM does make some decent performance cams, but I'm not sure which he was referencing. The GM Stage 2 Cam is pretty decent at 227/239 .551/.551 lift

I would like to do a cam at the same time a headers but I gotta see how the $$$ situation is..
Headers for sure... I wanted a FAST intake but that alone is $800 I think...So I'll prob just go headers for now, and when I do the cam I'll scrape up the $$ for a FAST intake..
