For brake bleeding, I am using a simpler one from the same company, bought back in '83. It is all plastic construction and without gauge on top. I have been using that on motorcycles and cars.
No opinion on the brake fluid. I don't race, my experience have been limited on using Castrol Dot 3/4 LMA for all my applications!
HTH!

1010S if my memory serves.

I always had trouble keeping a vacuum with those pumps for some reason, and ended up making a mess. The speed bleeders are fool proof.
If I was going to the track, I'd stick with a brake fluid known to be good on the track. That's one area I wouldn't save a few bucks. I like Motul. Just my humble opinion.

Road racers really tax their brakes. Noticed heat from braking discolor the paint on some powder coated calipers. Since you only drag race, might be alright! However, I wouldn't take any chances, but thats just me!
One thing I have learned years ago was to lightly wrap the bleeder thread with Teflon tape, that seems to cut down some air getting passed the bleeder's thread when vacuum is applied. And because I don't race, braking heat doesn't affect the low melting point of the tape.

I do HPDE's, but haven't since 2006 or so since my second son was born! I've not had a lick of trouble with my speed bleeders during the time I used them on my C5 and C6 but it's been a while since I bled as I think about it.
I'll check into the RR section and if they are becoming problematic I'll stop recommending them! I do love them so for bleeding. And, by the way, so does my wife.

Hmmm...my older son is 8 now, I think he'll be able to pump the brakes!

My wife used to help me but since making the initial purchase of the Mityvac plastic handle back in '83, neither my son nor my daughter had to help since their birth - luck kids!

Joking aside, Motive is a heavy contender if my trusty Mityvac ever fails!
Fyi, Mityvac costed me $15 back in '83.
