Default windshield wipers

The wipers on my 2011 Z06 seem to be up on the windshield too high in the off position. The passenger side is about 5" up from the base. It's almost touching the clear part of the winshield. Looks terrible. How can they be adjusted?

Look on the windshield lower blackout with a flashlight. You will find a T shaped mark in the blackout. This is where the upper tip of the wiper blade must park in the down position. I have not had a need to work on my wiper system and the service manual says nothing about wiper arm adjustment. This is my best guess if adjustment is required. Look at the end of the arm where it rotates. There you will find a removable cap. Under the cap is a retaining nut. Restrain the arm from rotating while you remove the nut. The removal tool ( J 39637 ) is like a C clamp. A small pry tool may work to pop the arm free of the splined drive shaft. Reposition the arm on the splined shaft so that the upper tip of the blade is parked on its T. Retighten the nut 18 lb-ft and replace the cap.

Thanks Bill!! Only took a couple minutes to readjust. Didn't need any tool to remove. Just grab the spring loaded part of the arm to remove the spring tension and the arm came right off the splined shaft. On my 69 Chevelle there's no nut holding the arm onto the shaft but a spring locking tab. I actually keep the wiper arms in the trunk as I don't take that car out in the rain. But if I get caught out somewhere it takes less than a minute to stick the wipers back on.
