Default c6 clutch

My clutch was working fine, I backed it in the garage and the next time I got in to start it the clutch went to the floor and wouldn't come back up, so reach down and pulled it up and it will stay up but when you push in it stays on the floor. I tryed doing the fluid change , but it still acts the same. If you have in gear and try to start it with the clutch down it is still engaged. I have 20k miles on it and have never had any indication that anything was wrong . Please help

If your certain the push rod on the master is still in place, spring for a new master cylinder and forget about it. Mines done it twice, I ve gone for the clutch and the pedal just sticks to the floor.New master and no more problem.
