Shifter Vibration normal??
Thanks

There have been a lot of threads on shifter vibration - mostly centered on the Z06. But I suspect that many of the same underlying factors exist in the base C6 as well but that they get hidden by more sound deadening and the like.
Thanks
The 2007 cars have a different shifter box part number from the later cars (you can PM RichieRichZ06 for a full rundown on this topic) and using the later model shifter box has been the cure for "shifter rattle" in a lot of cases (mostly Z06s though, I believe.) It certainly cured my car's very loud racket.
The only way you'll know if the bushings are worn is to get in there and take a look and if you're going to that much trouble you might as well just install the latest shifter box anyway (and maybe an MGW shifter as well
) Neither is a really tough job and the results are well worth the couple of hours of effort. At 60k miles a general tightening up of all those pieces will probably yield a much nicer driving experience. It's actually on the list of things to do "real soon now" on my car, in fact.Z//

I never really saw it as an issue.
