Are all c6 fobs interchangeable?
I lost the #1 fob for my 06, can any c6 fob be paired to the car? If I find a 09 fob and pair it will the 06 fob still work? Do the numbers mater other then the driver presets or an there only be one # 1 fob? What is the max number of fobs you can have?

Doesn't matter what fob # is engraved on the back of the fob. However, there are 2 different fob programming procedures. If you use the short procedure that just adds a fob, it will automatically be programmed as the next fob number for your car. So, if you already had a fob #1 and a fob #2 programmed for your car, it would become #3. You would need to use the long procedure to reprogram all fobs you possess to get back to a #1 fob and a #2 fob.
Fob numbers greater than 2 do not have memory options. They can lock/unlock the car and start it. But they cannot set mirror position, set radio preset, or any other memory options programmed through the DIC.
