Default Electronic Ignition Switch

I've got a 2005 convertible with a standard transmission. Has anyone had a problem with their electronic ignition switch? I've got plenty of juice in my battery, but I push my switch and nothing happens. The lights and sounds associated with the accessory and start mode work, but the car will not start.

Thoughts or suggestions?

Make sure the fob is recognized , the clutch is depressed and the safety switch on the clutch pedal is functioning . Also check starter solenoid and connections. I would also load test the battery and verify voltage at the starter as well as check for voltage at the solenoid actuating terminal while the ignition switch is being "pressed". It's much easier with the car raised and a helper with a reliable meter to run these checks. Good luck.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll post an update after I get further along.

Take care - Steve

$200+, including tow. Some reprogramming of a module. Theft deterrent error of some sort.
