500 - 436= 64

64hp = headers/tune?

That's all it takes to match an LS7?

My personal observation has been that manual trans Corvettes are running about 10%-11% drivetrain loss on the dyno myself and a few other locals use. My buddy with a bone stock Z06 was at 454rwhp. Most LS3 Corvettes are at 380-390rwhp on that same dyno.

OP, in your post.

This 500HP package has gains of over 50HP and 35FTLB over stock almost and almost a .5 second reduction in 1/4 mile times.
Numbers do not add up over stock unless you meant to say 50RWHP and 35RWTQ over stock which is believable since you're basing this off an Auto which needs tuning off the factory floor to wake it up.

I however do not believe in the 500hp label for the package. But you're not the first nor last to do this. Plenty of shops and aftermarket products do the whole add X amount of hp with this performance part. So most guys should know better than to expect advertised power gains unless it's backed up with a money back.

Actually it is 505 for the LS7, so it would be more like 69 hp.

Herein lies the problem.....

There is no static # for drivetrain loss. As power goes up,drivetrain loss(as a percentage) goes down.

My car went 123 MPH with a CAI ,headers and a tune. I think it takes about 500HP to go that fast at 3500 pounds.

20 percent for automatics and 15 percent drivetrain loss for manual is accepted ...

Thanks for the heads up on your offered package to accomplish 500 hp...or there abouts..

Hello, I see where you are local to me.

I have a 2011 GS 6 Spd. It already had AR Headers, high flow cats, Vararam cold air and a canned street tune. It has the stock NPP exhaust.

Can you send me a PM on what you would charge to either data log and tune again vs dyno and tune.

Thanks,
Jim

I gained 47 rwhp with the mods in discussion. LS3 MN6 Came in at 422 rwhp 470 ish at the fly wheel.

Going to need a cam to get to 500 rwhp and a big one at that.

This thread is 6 years old and i would never buy anything from someone that makes such vague claims. Modern cars do not have that much drivetrain loss and it is not calculated that simply.

OP dont get sucked into the dyno # arguement, most will never spend a dime anyways and noone will feel 5-10hp let alone the fact dynos almost never read the same.

Bench racing

Good luck

I disagree, 5-10hp difference will really set you back in your seat.

Note: headers, cai, a tunes are great, but not gonna turn your 436 hp car into a 500hp car. 470-480 maybe.
I have a tune, CAI, and Corsa cat back. My 13, 6 speed Grand Sport LS3 made 391 at the wheels.
