Default c5z diff in 05 swap DIY please

I found this write up which is perfect except it doesnt have any pics. The thing I need the most is the pictures of the welding and brackets that are needed. Does anybody have this saved in their computers and could send it to me as file?

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-t...-write-up.html

Thanks
Carlos

I'm surprised Sparo2's pics disappeared, might be something wrong with his account. Might want to PM him to ask. I checked and he hasn't logged on in 3 weeks, seems odd. Hope everything is okay.

I know and im in the middle of the swap right now. I guess tomorrow at least ill get that 1/2 inch aluminum plate welded to my craddle. Im just a little confused of how to make the braket for the diff. Does anyone have his phone so i can just offer him some money to get one of those prefabbed brackets? Ahhh anyways ill send him a pm and see if i get a reply. But please if anybody else has any info let me know.

Thanks again.

I suggest also sending him an email through the Forum link, might get to him where a PM requires him to log in here which he obviously isn't doing lately. Best of luck.

I don't know what happened to (Sparo2) Daniel...he's a great guy doing R&D for us poor 05 owners. He's come up with several different models of this.

I made this video of my bracket for him when he was first getting started. It's just an iPhone video so it's not great but hopefully you can see how it works. It's based on a transmission mount with some steel welded on. Cartek sold it to me but last time I checked they weren't making them anymore.

Here is at least some more info on it, but again some of Sparo2's photos seem to be missing:

I have this video I made for Sparo - I hope he gets back to you as he's made a few of these mounts. I think he uses an automatic transmission mount and welds on some ears. I also think he produced a non-welded version in case you can't weld aluminum. If you can't reach him pm me I think I have his email somewhere around here.

You could also mod the C5 Pfadt mount as I posted above, I think the ears would provide a good stabilizing point, like traction bars for your rear.

It's a good mod, particularly if you blow your rear and have no core. The c5 cores are about 1/3 the price of a c6 core - we are talking thousands of dollars difference back when I was making the mod.
