Default Finding codes ??

Is there a way to find any stored codes in a C6 like the C5's were able to do, without using a Tech 2 or other tool like it?

Now that my car is a couple of hundred miles over 36,000 I've gotten DIC messages for "low brake fluid" - "Service Traction Control" - Service ABS" and the latest, just Friday night, "Service Tire Monitor". The real bummer here is that just before Corvettes @ Carlisle, I had to have the fuel tank sending unit replaced and to do that they had to remove the rear cradle, exhaust and I was "told" due to the fact they had to replace the crossover pipe for the tanks, that they had to remove the driveshaft tube, so I think they yanked the trans as well. Then within a couple hundred miles (it is 185 miles one way to Carlisle for me) all this started. I plan to surprise the dealer on Tuesday (the service tech/writer I used is off on Monday) to see if they give me the usual "it's nothing we did" line and just wanted to be able to check codes before getting there.

I've had so much trouble with this car if I could I'd just dump it and buy a Ford, after 14 Vettes this is the worst car I've ever had...and far more trouble then my 68 ever was!!!

Can anybody help with my original question of finding the codes??

They removed that feature on the C6

If it's any consolation, our 2009 is almost identical to yours and it too is the most problem-infected car we have ever owned. Fortunately, our dealer has done well in fixing things, but something like 13 repairs in the first two years is off the chart.

Yeah, some people have had good luck with GM cars and Corvettes in particular. But each of our recent GM cars (1998 camaro, 2001 Corvette, 2006 Corvette, 2009 Corvette) has been worse than the previous. There's a reason our grocery-getters have been Japanese for the last 15 years. I't's gonna be a tough job selling me a C7.
