The guy that powder coated my calipers didnt do the best job. I had to have them redone by a 2nd place. They look awesome now. Dont bring your calipers to just any PC place!!

The guy that powder coated my calipers didnt do the best job. I should have sent them to Mike. PLUG FOR MIKE THE POWDER COATER. But anyway...
This local guy powder coated the caliper surface all the way up to the hole for the brake line. Meaning the seat that the brakeline copper washer makes contact with is a powder coated surface now instead of bare metal. I did buy new washers though.
Do you think they will leak?? Is this common practice?
A pic would help, but honestly the only way you'll find out is to try it. I think you'll be fine.
In the future use someone who knows brakes. Mike was honest enough to advise me NOT to powdercoat my AP Racing calipers for my other toy. I respect that. I had them painted locally with high-heat paint by a guy that does work for Brembo.

Curious, why did Mike advise against powder coating your calipers?
