Mine was wobbling like a very poorly thrown frisbee ...

now if they only had a "recall" instead of a "service bulletin" for the harmonic balancer ... I found out yesterday that mine has to be replaced ... and the "tune" that harmonic balancer is playing is $1,000.00 ...

Hmmmm...now there is a thought...at least they didn't charge me to diagnose it and gave my car a free "bath" while it was there ...

It's just going to do it again.. .replace it with an aftermarket one or and underdrive and at least get a few hp out of it.. the factory unit is terrible and heavy.

I had mine replaced and had these installed many miles ago.

Default Hope I don't have a lemon

Just bought a brand new 2012 crystal red 3 lt Grand sport. Awsome looking car!!! Unfortunatley I heard a horrible sqeaking sound within two days. Dealer replaced belt, lubed aligned pulleys etc.
Improved for 1-2 days, and now sounds like a 70's beater car, and entire car shakes at startup. Its back in to replace Harmonic Balancer today. In the shop 4 days of the 12 days I have owned it. Also clicking from brake relay, loud enough to hear at highway speed with radio on. Not present on wife's 2011 GS, or previous 2008 coupe we owned. I have seen this problem mentioned in the forums, I hope they can find a quieter relay, and the Harmonic replacement works. I know Corvettes are a value for what you get, and I wanted to stay American--but hope I don't have a $70000 (with taxes, warranty etc) mistake on my hands. YIKES!!
p.s. Car or Truck backed into front end at work and with his/her muffler (even though I parked in the most distant slot), and put a nice cookie cutter circle indentation in the front bumper. Hope my luck with this car changes, as I have waited for my own Corvette for years, as my wife has had the houshold 'vette.

Harmonic balancer replaced, still squeaking, now they think it is the AC belt--another day of waiting as part not available. Maybe I can drive my new car someday. One more fix attempt I will have to go lemon law. @#$$!!!
