I am considering the purchased of a Z51, 2008 Corvette. It has been lowered 1 inch. I live in the High Desert, with roads that are used to handle storm water and occasionally have some deep dips. I also need to traverse short sections of rough dirt roads. A lowered Vette just does not work for me.
I have good mechanical skill but do not have much experience with suspension work. How are the C6's typically lowered? Specifically how big of an issue to put it back to stock? I assume it would require a realignment? Thanks, JIM
depends on how was the car lowered in the first place. If the previous owner cut the bushings you would need stock bushings. Do a search on lowering and you will find several articles on the subject.

As long as the previous owner didn't cut off the entire bushing you just raise the car to the desired height with the stock bolts with cut bushings.
Let's hope that's the case.
OP: The process is quite simple. Lots of info out there.
all the c6 vettes have lowering bolts that can be adjusted up and down, most like ifs an inch, he just lowered the bolts all the way without cutting the bushing, i went with after market bolts and slammed mine, but u should just be able to raise them with a wrench/box end wrench, depending on how much its lowered, u might need an alignment when its back up...
new stock bolts can't be that expensive... I love lowered Vettes but here in MN my 2008 coupe at stock height is already way too low. Now I will not be "raising" it by any means, but most commercial parking lot entries here suck! Try it, of anything buy some frame sliders or "fangs" as they are called.
Given that you can't buy them individually - you have to get them with the entire front or rear spring - $300 (online price) for 2 bolts seems a tad exhorbitant to me

And those $45 bolts are junk and will fail within a short time. In fact, there are no aftermarket bolts that have shown any real robustness or longevity. Nothing even remotely close to the stock parts.
