Default computer giltch??

Driving to dinner tonight we heard a pop and the radio shut off, wouldn't come back on.. Got to the restaurant turned the car off and on a couple times, still no radio. Went in, didn't enjoy dinner as much as I should have worrying about the car. Started the car up afterward, everything was fine, except the clock needed to be reset.

It's happened to me twice. Don't recall having to reset the clock, but the radio stopped working. After a shut off and restart of the car it was fine.

I've also had to actually take off the negative cable to "reboot" my car a couple of times. Maybe twice in 6 years. I carry a 10 mm in the console and my emergency key.

I wouldn't worry. If you are under warranty, you could bring it in and have it checked with a Tech2 if you're concerned.

Sounds like a circuit breaker popped and shut it down. Do you have any aftermarket items tied to the passenger footwell fuse panel?

Ok, tonight, 6 days later, about the same time of night, driving to the same restaurant, in the same area it did it again.. I'm wondering if there is some high powered radio source in the area. but driving back each time it didn't happen.

If you are under warranty still, take it in. You paid for it, use it. You need to pull the codes and see what's going on but a code reader from the local stores and such are not going to pull the body codes. Sort of need a Tech2
