Default Tire Replacement

Last year I purchased a stock 2008 convertable with Z51 pkg and stock EMT Goodyear tires. Just turned 17,000 miles and noticed it's time to replace tires already. Should I go with the Goodyears again or Michelin Pilots that have good reviews on the tire dealer sites?

If you're not worried about price go with the Pilot Sports.

You might want to also consider the Firestone Firehawk Wide Ovals which are runflats. I replaced by GY Supercars with these and absolutely love them. Do a search as others have done the same as I did and really like the Firestones which also come at a cheaper price than Gys.

I liked the Supercar EMTs, but went with the Pilot Sport PS2 ZP (runflats). They are at least as good as if not better than the Supercars I had on my '08 Z51 convertible.

I'd look into Ventus V12s if near stock and Khumo XS or Bridgestone RE-11 if modded.

2 sets of GY Supercars here before I got smart and got the PS2 ZPs; the Michelins are a much better tire.

Anything is an improvement over the stock EMT Goodyear tires and will make a huge difference.

In Michigan, Michelin all seasons will extend your driving to anytime there is not snow on the road.
