It said I trapped 137 on that run and I don't know why. The radar must have been messed up or something. I was looking at my speedo and was trapping about 120. The rest of my runs were around 12.44.
Anyways, is this a pretty good .25 mile time for being stock? Also thanks for everybody posting how to launch the car. I looked into it before going.
matt those are great runs...low 12's is pretty neat..the auto is the way to go if your drag racing...do you have a c6 coupe??
again , really cool....
Yeah I have the coupe with the ls3. After today I want to start doing some mods!! It was a blast to take it to the track!! I was pretty nervous at first.
great times !! Make your next mod - 3.73 - best bang for the buck, and great on the freeway
They don't make 3.73 gears for an A6. 3.15's or 342's are as steep as they make. But before changing gears, headers and torque converter is a better bang for the buck.

If I got headers and a torque converter along with drag radials, do you think the car could be in the 11's?

Pretty much a guarantee assuming you stick with proven products, especially tires, and get that all important seat time.
Oh yeah. Your going to need a tune too. Ask around at the track to see who is the prefered local tuner. Get a good working relationship and he can scan some runs and tweak your tune at the track.
It doesn't take a ton of money to be knocking on the door of rollbar requirements.

Thanks for the advice!! Everybody at the track was very nice and helpful!! I can't wait to try it again!!
Thanks everybody for the input!! I really appreciate it!!
hey matt, did you install that throttle body spacer from vararam on your 08?
and confirm your un-tuned.
I never tuned the car, I didn't think you had to with the vararam. I thought that I read somewhere that the computer in the car changes the fuel air ratio after 200 miles or something like that. I'm probably wrong, but it seems like I read that somewhere on here. I'm not sure if mine came with a spacer. I bought it used from somebody off of this site. If the red tube is the spacer, then it's on there.
I'm sorry, but I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to cars, but I'm trying to learn all I can. I hope that I got to answer your question.
I don't know how to post pics but this is the model I bought, VR-SC1R.
Edit: alright I just read the description of that model and it does come with the spacer. So I do have it installed on the car!!

Reason: Vararam model
cool, nope you dont need a tune. i guess it would help a little to get the max benifit out of it. i put the black spacer between the throttle body and the manifold and it put the connector right on top of the belt tensoner! im going to remove it so i dont damage the T/B. it must be for the Z06? vararam will not answer there phone. again, great times with the car. i cant wait till my track opens back up.
