Hawk Performance Ceramic or Hawk HPS Performance Street?
I am planning on new brakes for my 05 coupe, and since the prices are good, am considering buying now. Should I buy the Hawk ceramic or HPS Performance Street?
How bad is the dusting on the HPS?
Decided on Brembo slotted rotors.

If you see triple digit speeds regularly then just go for the most aggressive pad you will tolerate. The ceramics are a tradeoff of performance for the convenience of quiet operation and no dust. The hps are a bit better but are going to make dust, ( not like a racing compound).
HP+ and DTC 30 both have 100 degree operating temps which makes them suitable for street use (at the expense of noise and dust)
kns brakes has some really good deals on brake components, and carries a lot larger range of hawk brand pads than most of the corvette parts houses: http://www.knsbrakes.com
fyi the z06 brake ducts are cheap (20 to 30 bucks for a set) and are a nice quick upgrade over the originals.
I only track once or twice a year, and not competition, so I think the ceramics it will be. Any one have a good source for the Z06 brake duct? and will they fit an 05?

parts taxi. they also sell the hawk ceramic pads.
they have the cheapest prices and cheapest shipping (some places will rip you off with this) out of any of the parts places Ive dealt with.
the ducts will fit any of the c6 models. you just need to trim a bit of the fender liner hole where the original ducts were and drill a small hole for a bolt to hold the longer z06 duct in place. there are numerous writeups on these forums with lots of good pictures. It took me longer to get the car in the air and get the wheels off than it did to install the ducts...

Adam I assuming that the price above is for per wheel correct $144 one front and $124 one rear wheel. $286 x 2 $536 for the entire change over?
