Ive searched and cannot find a quality DIY thread for swapping the A6 shifter boot.
I was linked to various locations or vendors but the instructions were lacking or removed. Pictures are a must lol.
Can someone point me in the right direction please?
I just had the A6 boot and parking brake boot replaced a few days ago. The A6 boot is difficult to remove. I had Corvettes of Houston do it for me. Sorry no pics. Good luck with your mods.

Replaced with stock or aftermkt? Did they transfer and glue in the new rings?
The removal is the easy part. The reinstallarion is the pain. The only way you usually have the ring included is if you provide it. You will need to DIY it with some quality leather glue or contact cement. I did this about 2 months ago. The A6 shifter **** can be a pita also . Here is a link that will help with part of it. I'm assuming you already know how to remove the console to get to the boot.
So redline's came with the two plastic rings installed in the shifter boot?
No Sir, both boots came just as a piece of leather stitch. Then we had to glue the parking brake boot to the OEM plastic piece. I did not see the install for A6 shifter boot.
