Started out as a bright sunny morning, then about an hour after I got to work it started pouring rain and kept it up all day. By the time I left the parking lot was completely flooded. Started idling slowly towards the street, and hit a low point in the lot that I didn't see, where the depth of water went from a couple inches to probably close to a foot deep. A half second later the car cut off
Fearing the worst, I pushed it out of the water and pulled the intake (Vararam). The intake and throttle body were bone dry, so I put it back together and cautiously fired it up and it started right away. Guess it just ran out of air and choked out. Lesson learned, go slow, and avoid water when you can!

That's good advise no matter which air intake system one is using, even the stock one.
In fact, I practice that kind of solid logic/reasoning regardless of what kind of car I'm driving.
