Let me preface this post that I have read all the clicking noise posts. Our '08 c6 auto was click free until today when I changed the front brake pads. Upon completion I pumped the brakes and the noise began from the transmission well area. Our car already had the newer 5 prong relay but I bought another one and changed it out. The noise continues. Has anyone come up with an approach that has worked yet?

when does the clicking occur?
during turns?
while accelerating?
from a stop?

im having a similar issue but mine occurs when i turn left...last time this happened, the dealer changed out the bearings which resolved it...im guessing its the same thing again....as for it being caused after the brake pad change, id wonder what else has changed or if something isnt in place?
The clicks happens in park after you start the car when you press the brake in to shift to drive. It is loud then but more subtle when driving.
Its possible that the clicking is likely the lock out solenoid that prevents you from taking the car out of park without your foot on the brake. You just probably noticed it because you were listening and it was there all the time.

I had the same problem, took GM two days to find it. They retorqued the sway bar bolts and fixed the problem.
If I cant figure it out I may take it to the dealer. No one on here has come up with a working answer yet. Hopefully this will be covered under the power train warranty.
