Default replace the fuel door switch

I took my 05 corvette to a dealer to fix a problem with the A/C unit. They had to drop the dash to fix it. Apparently they did a shotty job putting it back together. The start switch came loose almost stranding me out of town....i was able to drop the dash and get it started.

The other thing they did was to reverse the fuel door switch and the trunk lid switch so that when I push the button to open the trunk the fuel door opens. I would like to switch them back the way they should be.

I can get to them, by dropping the dash. But I dont see how the switch comes off of the button. I see the releases on the side of the unit but cant get it to release and dont want to force it and risk breaking it.

Anyone tell me how the switch comes loose??

thanks!

Did they actually re-locate the buttons with the picture on them, or just somehow re-locate the function?

Is it possible that they switched some leads instead of switching some buttons? In other words, could you fix the problem by moving the wires from one switch to the other?

they actually miswired them. I went home today at lunch and figured out you can pop the whole piece with the two switches out and then you can unhook them. They are actually color coded so you dont put them back in wrong but guess what? They put them in backwards. But after figuring out how to get the piece out it was simple to rewire them the correct way.
