Bradenton, FL March 15-18 2012 NMCA opener to include LSX Challenge Series classes!
I got this from another website, but mark the dates on your calendar
When I get more information, Ill pass it along. Ill be tuning at the event
Bradenton, FL March 15-18 2012 NMCA opener to include LSX Challenge Series classes!
The Chevrolet Performance LSX Challenge Series is back for 2012, and the 4-race series will once again it will get started in Florida at Bradenton as part of the NMCA Muscle Car Nationals opener. The dates are:
LSX Challenge (part of NMCA event) Bradenton FL March 15th -18th
LSX Challenge (stand alone event) Atlanta Georgia June 1st -3rd
Holley LS Fest, Bowling Green Kentucky Sept 7th-9th
LSX Challenge Finals (part of NMCA event) Indianapolis Indiana Oct 11th -14th
Please give it some consideration and support the NMCA, Holley and Chevrolet Performance for once again doing a series that is just for the LS enthusiasts!
The best part is there's a class for everyone from hardcore, like LSX Drag Radial, to LSX Rumble, a class with easy to follow index-style rules. The following three heads-up classes will run at each LSX Challenge Series event: LSX Drag Radial, LSX All-Motor and Real Street. Two index-style classes will also compete at each LSX Challenge Series event: LSX Rumble and 5th Gen Camaro.
The LSX Challenge Series will have a points chase and championships will be awarded for each LSX class. There should also be valuable racer contingencies available from NMCA sponsors for each LSX class in addition to the race purses (based on 2011 events; still to be clarified).
2 races (Bradenton and Indy) take place with the NMCA Flowmaster Muscle Car Nationals), which means you will see the best in LS performance as well as all-domestic heads-up muscle car drag racing. All events also feature giant car shows, huge manufacturers' midways and swap meets, 300+ MPH jet cars, burnout contests and much more!
The Holley LS Fest will be a stand alone LS overload that will feature all sorts of LS performance activities in addition to the 5 normal LSX Challenge classes.

I've been looking forward to the LSX challenge at BMP for awhile now. I first read about it in GMHTP magazine and was excited to be able to enter and race.
I don't know if I'll even me competitive but it would be a lot of fun to get out there and compete.

Great stuff and thanks for posting. I came very close to attending the Atlanta race (and even the LS Fest at Bowling Green) this year but ended up only going to the LSx Shootout/final event in Indianapolis as I'd done the year before (in St Louis). I always take/race my Camaro Z28 when I go but one of these years I'll bring the Vette.

Should be some good weather come March. It feels like the winter is taking its sweet time getting to Florida so hopefully that translates into an extended winter into late March and early April. It's Dec 23rd and it was in the 80s today.
