Depends on how long after start up this occurs. The LS3 does have a very slight shake and that is normal. If you are refering just after start up, that is the catalytic heat up sequence. That can be tuned out and fixes the shake.
Let's see... you have 8 pistons going up and down at least 1.25 times a second each compressing fuel and air at a very high pressure and than igniting it like a bomb.. what would you think? got nothing else to worry about?

OP it's possible your car has a miss, or, that it's normal. Tough to judge without seeing the car. If possible, take a video of your engine and then back by the exhaust pipes and post it up for further analysis.

Hey Joe,
I balanced a half folded $5 bill on my dash. Wouldn't that be 100 times more difficult?
To the OP, I've experienced a little idle shudder when coming to a stop. It takes a few seconds to settle down to smooth again. No big deal. But if yours never becomes smooth, then it could be vacuum leaks, misfiring, ect.

My 2011 has a idle that feels like a bit of cam lope. My wife noticed it and I said it was to let everyone in the car know that there's a big engine under the hood. She said that if that's the case, it works.

Every V8 has 8 pistons going up and down 1x or more times a second at idle and they are not rough.
Go sit in a new Cadilac V8 car!
