Tunes?
Call me a simpleton or whatever but I want to know simply what I can do to me box stock 2009 Z51 C6 M6 in the way of a tune to increase the "fun". It is now 3 years old and I want to retune it. Only concern is that it still passes inspection here in N.C.

A tune should not effect you smog inspection. I live in Vegas and my Dyno tuned C6 has never failed a smog check. They plug their machine into the engine/computer plug under the dash and nothing negative has ever happened. You will usually pick some HP/TQ with a good tune and increase your fun factor.

I assume you are talking about a hand held tuner. If that is the case there are several. HP tuners, Diablo Predator tuners, and SCT tuners. Google these on the internet and check out some of the forum sponsors. I believe that Texas Speed has mail order tunes as well. Also check the Scans and Tunes section for more info and opinions

Go to PCMforless and get a Dyno Tune done, do NOT waste your money with a mail order tuner get a real tune

a good tune from a reliable tuner will improve the performance, and some can put the original factory signature back on the ECM for warrantee protection.

Having trouble with the SCT I bought
My car is older so you may not have the same issues. I get a service column lock warning whenever I try and use the SCT on my 2005 Z51. I just put up a post trying to get info on the best compatible tuner also.
