Hey guys wanted to know if any one has put a fast 102 on a ls2 c6.I have a 05 z-51 6 speed, with lg headers, vararam, borla stingers,160 stat....was thinking of doing a fast 102 but was wondering if i should do a tb,anyone do a 102 to there ls2 without changing there stock tb or heads ?if so what kind of gains should i get with keeping those parts stock? and did you see a noticable difference?
from what I've read the stock 90mm TB will work perfectly fine with a NA car. a Ported stock TB is the best option. a 100mm TB is considered the best if your doing a supercharger or turbo engine
Picked up 20whp 27wtq with a ported fast(thats about with it gained through the curve too)... Made 405/407 with the 102, 1 7/8" headers and vararam (tuned)..
So when I got headers I remember how I could feel the difference .. Is it the same kind of difference with the fast 102 or not as significant .just wondering what to expect
Most of my customers that have swapped an LS2 intake with one of my ported FAST intakes have seen 25 - 30 HP. And this was with the older 90/92 designs. I have some new "tricks" and different porting mods on these 102 intakes that would add measurably to these figures that I wasn't able to perform to the older design intake due to the different build design (the new 102 is a completely different design with removable multi piece runners, etc).
The key is the heads....with really good heads a swap to a properly modified 102 intake is worth in the vicinity of 35 RWHP! Thats a huge shot in the arm and the gains are very noticeable in the SOTP due to highly improved throttle response as well. Its just a great mod....the engine feels even stronger than the sizable legit gains indicate because response is so much sharper and there are fat gains in the power curve everywhere, not just peak.
BTW, the LS2 intake is the absolute worst performing cathedral style manifold....another reason swapping to the best performing intake is such a huge increase.
PM me for details if your interested....I normally keep ported units on my shelf ready to go.

If I were staying NA I would definately do a ported FAST. I plan on doing an ECS or A&A kit in the next couple of months. In the meantime I got my LS2 manifold to a stage 2 and my TB ported by Jeremy Formatto along with a quick update to my tune for $400. His previous dyno's show roughly a 20rwhp and 17rwtq with this. Probably about half of what you could get out of a $1300 ported, but it was fun and pretty cheap.
Thanks guys for all the info ,i ordered one yesturday from vendor on forum for $799.00 shipped, i think it will be well worth it,gonna keep factory heads, and tb for now and see what the gains are from tune and the difference in power of car
just went from a stage 2 ported ls2 intake to a ported fast 102...even without retuning it for optimum hp,i can feel a big differance in the midrange....!
Here is a FAST 102mm on a H/C LS2 car, still had 90mm throttle body. Power gains everywhere. 21rwhp!!
Here is another LS2 intake/throttle body to a FAST intake with LS2 90mm TB. This is an LQ9 engine, thats basically stock. Stock exhaust manifolds, stock cam (190s@ .050 .470" lift) They work well even on totally stock engines! Again Power everywhere and again 21rwhp gained, this was without changing the tune. I simply dropped it on.
