I got a yank TC last march. Yank told me to order a gm fp part #12602448 because I had the 01 f body fp and it was cracked.
Now im thinking heads and cam for my car and would like to see 450rwh. So that makes me ask the question if this fp will be ok with that power. It looks like the fp I installed last march is the same one that goes into the vettes so I thought I would ask you guys.
How much power are you making with your stock flexplates? Or, how much power do you think is safe with these stock fps?
Going with a new OEM/stock flex plate should be ok but if you want a little more insurance then you should probably go with an 'SFI approved' aftermarket one.
I feel comfortable using the stock flex plate at 500rwhp. With that being said i have seen them in cars over 700rwhp without any issue. An SFI approved flex plate is worth the piece of mind in a high powered build.

What car are you running that in? How many miles on it? How many miles on it since having 500rwh? How many track passes?

Thanks for the reply
98 C5. Mild cammed LS3 engine, 3800 stall, and a 175 wet shot. Car was consistent 10.80 1.5 60ft all motor. The car had that setup for over a year and the owner was not easy on it. Never an issue with the stock flex plate.
