Alignment equipment?
But more important than the equipment is that the technician is competent and takes him time. Make sure that he/she gives you printouts before/after, understands the intended use of your vehicle and can look at the tire wear patterns, doesn't just say that the alignment is "within spec" because "spec" has a huge range, etc.
I have my favorite tech and he is willing to spend the time to make sure that I get exactly what I want (I do wind up paying for it; no $49 special).
the DPS600... i believe those are the heads and not the machine?????
hunters have something like 211,311,411,811, or something along those lines
i'm not familiar with hunter equipment so don't take my word
you want to make sure the machine has recent calibration
the machines themselves were made so a baboons a$$ can do an alignment
get it in the green and get it off the lift is what most shops will do
hunter makes it so easy now with their new clamps and scanners, these baboons wont even have to search for the vehicle anymore
hey... don't get me wrong.. the machines are probably awesome, just not something i can afford
i was to **** when doing alignments, checking everything
the body shop next door used to hold their cars until they saw me working then brought em over
NOTHING i hated more then the steering wheel not being dead on
any slight tick off center drove me absolutely F'n nutzZZZZZZZ
i never had to align a vette though, we were mainly a import/daily driver shop anyway
although i got to do the cars with aftermarket suspensions/etc
can be fun
