2005 Steering Column Lock Issue

Does anyone know if the steering column lock on the 2005 effects fuel delivery? Would a failing SCL effect the engine from getting fuel? Like the car will turn over then fall on its face. Then after a few more tries the car will finally catch idle.

Thanks Jim. Mine did this to me last night. Turned over and just fell on it's face. Finally caught idle after a few attempts

SCL problem just refused to move the starter at all for me.

I'd recommend taking it to your local shop and having it checked out. I'd be happy to recommend a good shop or setup an appointment for you.

When the STL engaged for me, I got no starter engagement or engine turnover. Once issue cleared, no problems with starting. You may have 2 separate problems here.

Yeah I 100% agree. Just wanted to rule out this being a symptom of the SCL. I am chasing two different issues, however I think they both might be under wraps now.
