I just thought I would post up some threads to see if anyone in the area is interested in a little track time at Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown on Friday the 13th . So far, it looks like there will be a small group of us meeting up out there including my FRC, a C5Z, '06 C6, '00 SS, a '11 Mustang, and a '70 Mach 1.
Should be some of the very limited cool air we get in Houston, and a good opportunity to meet some more gearheads.
I'll be out there everynight the track is open as long as my car is not broke. There will be a large group of us this Friday, opening night, weather permitting.
I should be out there just making some 1/8th passes so I don't get booted.
Haha, reminds me of the 11.1@75mph 1/4mi. runs i've seen out there

Remind me never to buy a used car from you , haha.
I was going to try and go this weekend, as well as the 13th, but schedule didn't really work out.
Good luck with the runs this Friday, and hopefully see you out there the next.
Come on out, Larry! I want to see how close or if you can get the record.
I think I could come close with a -1000+ DA. Too bad the track wasn't open this past Monday or Tuesday. We had a -1200 +/- on one of the nights around race time.
I will see how things work out for me. It is a little drve for me. My parents lise in Sugarland. My dad will be having out patient surgery this coming Wednesday. If things work out I will try and be there. Another thought, you might try posting in the South West section also if you haven't.

I'll be out there Friday with a buddy of mine who is trying to get the bolton Camaro record. He's within .05 of it right now and just added a racing seat, lightweight battery, and possibly something else to remove a few pounds?
Either way, he'll be very close.
Like I said, I'm just going to be doing some 1/8th passes trying to get used to how the car drives.

Are yall going to record it on video? If he does make it, post it in this thread or send me the link via PM lol.
I wish I could make it out there, I just finally got my car tuned but I cant make it out this friday.

Oh cool, I love it when somewhat different worlds (ie: Corvette bolt ons (Larry) and Camaro bolt ons (your friend)) collide like that.
As well as I've done with Corvette bolt ons it's like the polar opposite with my Camaro Z28 LOL, if the F-body LS1 bolt ons list even went that high my 11.8 would be at like #60+ or something.

Excellent. I've been following the new Camaros a bit more lately because they're great cars and my friends at Cartek hold the 5th gen NA heads & cam record right now as well (10.83 and 129+mph).
