Default Houston Area Vettes

I just thought I would post up some threads to see if anyone in the area is interested in a little track time at Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown on Friday the 13th . So far, it looks like there will be a small group of us meeting up out there including my FRC, a C5Z, '06 C6, '00 SS, a '11 Mustang, and a '70 Mach 1.

Should be some of the very limited cool air we get in Houston, and a good opportunity to meet some more gearheads.

I should be out there just making some 1/8th passes so I don't get booted.

I'll be out there everynight the track is open as long as my car is not broke. There will be a large group of us this Friday, opening night, weather permitting.

Remind me never to buy a used car from you , haha.

I was going to try and go this weekend, as well as the 13th, but schedule didn't really work out.

Good luck with the runs this Friday, and hopefully see you out there the next.

Only if you bring the beer when done?

Haha, kidding. There is nothing official here, just an opportunity to meet some more local 'vette owners that like to enjoy their cars

I think I could come close with a -1000+ DA. Too bad the track wasn't open this past Monday or Tuesday. We had a -1200 +/- on one of the nights around race time.

I'll be out there Friday with a buddy of mine who is trying to get the bolton Camaro record. He's within .05 of it right now and just added a racing seat, lightweight battery, and possibly something else to remove a few pounds?

Either way, he'll be very close.

Like I said, I'm just going to be doing some 1/8th passes trying to get used to how the car drives.

It wasn't much of a "build"...just A&A blower/meth and exhaust. Simple stuff

Made 625/569 SAE...645/59x uncorrected here in Houston with a 3.8 pulley.

I posted about the results in the FI forum.

Hope to see most of you out there! I should be there around 7ish.

Will be pulling my pewter FRC down with a black Dodge 2500. One of the guys in the C5 forum is bringing a grill as well, haha.

If all come out that have said they are, we should have quite a few C3's -C6's!

Oh cool, I love it when somewhat different worlds (ie: Corvette bolt ons (Larry) and Camaro bolt ons (your friend)) collide like that.
As well as I've done with Corvette bolt ons it's like the polar opposite with my Camaro Z28 LOL, if the F-body LS1 bolt ons list even went that high my 11.8 would be at like #60+ or something.

Excellent. I've been following the new Camaros a bit more lately because they're great cars and my friends at Cartek hold the 5th gen NA heads & cam record right now as well (10.83 and 129+mph).

Did you end up going/running your car?
