Default Question on 1.7 rockers

I have a CAI, Kooks headers, and a tune... best run so far is 11.98 @ 117 mph..

I was wondering if just changing the intake rockers to 1.7 or 1.8 (if 1.8 will work) would give me any "noticeable improvement" in my 1/4 mile times ??

I'm planning on a cam, but that is on hold until I get my TAX's done & I have enough $$ for the cam to be done right!

Most likely they would. Some people have seen as much as 15-20rwhp from a good set of rockers and tuning.
But do keep in mind that plenty of people have seen as little 5rwhp from them as well.
Personally I would never consider installing rockers if a cam swap is on the horizon in the near future. And of course the stock rockers work VERY well with a properly selected cam/spring combination so there's no need to swap them when doing the install.

As a mod for performance by themselves I don't think they're usually worth it.

As a mod to try and get the best valvetrain geometry possible they have value, but our rockers are pretty good from the factory.

Money could be better spent elsewhere.

For a cheap mod you could get your stock intake ported. Cheap and quite effective.

I installed the 1.8's with 7.4 pushrods, a FAST intake. With the tune, I dyno'd at 396/402 through an A4 LS2. This is without headers being installed. I am not sure what the individual results were as they were all installed at the same time.

I think he has plans to do just that if/when he gets the cam installed.

You definitely picked up at least something notable from the rockers/pushrods as that's some nice power from so few mods.
Did you install new valve springs as well?

Was that SAE corrected? That's some serious power to not have longtubes.

Yes, I installed dual valves springs at the same time. The total install was, FAST intake and fuel rails, 7.4 pushrods, 1.8 rockers, dual springs, BBK CAI, DMH Cutouts, and tune.

The Dyno was corrected.

I am excited to see what kind of results I get with a set of LG longtubes.
