Default A&A supercharge

I just install a supercharger in my 2007 c6 ls2 and now I have to go down drive ways so slow and I still scrap my front. Is there any rubber padding for this situation? Please help

You can also adjust your front suspension bolts and raise the nose up a bit. I had to do this after my A&A install. I was scraping at every little rise in the pavement.

Ha ha...I have to do the same thing to my car....adjust the bolts a bit to get it up a little higher now that it has an extra ~100lbs on the nose.

Is it really an additional 100 pounds. Man I didn't know that.

Makes up for it with power though. That's for sure.

It is not 100lbs...closer to 60lbs but it is virtually all forward of the engine. The extra weight combined with the spacers you added to the radiator cradle which lowered the cradle about an inch bring everything closer to the ground. Raise the suspension and watch the speed bumps and pot holes!

I thought it was more like 90lbs, actually.

I could be wrong though. My shipping weight for mine was just over 90lbs, and I know we didn't throw away 30lbs of boxes and packing material, lol!

You are wrong.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/1577504050-post26.html

The last A&A kit in my garage had a total shipping weight of 92lbs documented on the outside of the box. You would be surpised at what all of that packaging and boxing weigh. It isn't a 100% add either on the parts you install. There are also some parts removed during the install that are replaced with parts in the kit. Those take-offs need to be factored in. As I said, it is much closer to 60lbs total add than it is to 100lbs. The killer is that the weight is all forward of the engine. Add in the lowering of the radiator cradle with those spacers and it is a pretty big loss of ground clearance that needs to be compensated for. Your radiator cradle was never designed to be a skid plate even though it is identified as a "skid plate" in the parts book. One or two good contacts with the pavement and you'll be crying at what a new cradle $$$ will run you....about $400.00!

It's mainly the spacers that are causing the problem - same effect as lowering the front end by an inch.
