This is the first sample I've had done with Blackstone. Its a 2006 ls2 67,000 miles and just bolt ons. I don't race but have the usual fun around town. There aren't any apparent engine issues that I am aware of.The analysis had a iron content of 81 where they say average is 26. This is at 3,000 miles with mobile 1. Anyone have any experience with their results?
I had a similar problem on my 08. First analysis was 57 at 15K. At 20K it went to 179. I was a little concerned but did not loose any sleep over it. Blackstone said the universal averages are calculated on a 4100 mile change. I ran it to exactly 4100 and sent in the sample. It came down to 43 on that sample. 33 is the average for mine. If your engine is quiet and running good I would check it again with 4100 on it. Later! Frank
PS: Did you let a couple quarts run out before collecting the sample?
It's all city miles, mainly short trips of 10-15 miles in Florida so driven all year. 3000 miles in 11 months so it will be a while before next sample.
