Default Stock wire too close to header

All, just had LG street series installed. The front left stock plug wire almost touches the header and I'll bet it won't live long. Is the GM Performance Parts Red 8mm Wire Set - 12495519 a good alternative that has more clearance? Looks like it may be from the pictures I've found but not sure. Any input is appreciated.

Im doing mine now and thought I would fab up a little bracket. Earls fittings has these wire clamp that bolt on, not sure how they would work. If you have some scrap aluminum I'm sure you could make a cheap bracket.

Look to Callaway (blue colored) plug wires. As I recall the shape of their boots will clear many headers and cost was near $100. That is the wire I would buy if I need to replace/ upgrade at some point.

I have used a combination of Taylor and MSD to get the proper boot shape to clear.

Lastly, Summit racing "Kool Socks" (@$40) are highly recommended.

Brackets or clips as above are a good idea.

I put MSD wires on my because of the same problem. You can form the MSD's away from the headers.

MSD multi angle feature is why I like them with header installs. They are made to be bent away from the primary so they don't get burnt. I offer them with hi heat protection options as well. I am going to be offering an 8.8mm wire now as well. The MSD red has been an issue and so I looked for a similar if not better wire solution and think I have found one. I'll be using 8.8 mm wire with MSD terminals and hi heat boots to make a hybrid wire composed of the best features.

I just used a piece of header wrap that I had on the shelf to protect the one wire that was close. Works fine.

Had the same issue today on an LG header install. On the stock wires, you can just trim a little of the rubber elbow that touches the runner. It doesn't take much to clear and as long as there is daylight, you should be fine.

The main reason I bought the MSD's, I also like the positive double click when snapped onto the plug.
