Small cam/hp question
I have a 08 ls3 with a manual, npp and mag ride. I have 1-7/8 kooks 3in x with cats stock npp exhaust with a vararam intake. I am adding a Comp spec cam 219-235 607/621 .050 113 lsa. My question is if anyone has used this cam and what you would guess rw hp may be? I didn't want to loose any low end torque that is why its a little cam on the intake side. Thanks Rich...

Have you ever been in a car that has a strong 3k-7k powerband? I don't think you'd miss the little torque in the 1500-2500 range, lol.
I'm not sure what kind of power you'd be making. I'd guess somewhere in the 450's range.

Lol I agree but this is my driver that I lug around quite a bit and I dont want any surging. I am really just wanting to hear a sexy idle and add hopefully 30-40 hp. I have a few fast cars actually a 01 Viper GTS and a 9 second single turbo Mustang. I do have the need for speed.

I am kinda shocked that more people havent chimed in on doing or have done a small intake duration cam on a ls3. I think keeping stock drivablity with a little idle pop and added hp up top is the way to go.

Most people don't do such a small cam because you can get very good manners out of a 228/230 intake duration cam in these motors. My buddy had a 230/234 that was ridiculously tame in his M6 LS3.
