Did you mean to say LS1/LS6? They used the same same sensor from 01-07. So the LS2 sensor was the same part number as the LS1/LS6. Now the LS3/LS7 is a different meter all together and it does not hook up the same way your old one does, it will not plug in without and adapter and your car would not run very well if you were to make physically go in place without some calibration changes. You should not see a lag introduced from the meter unless something is wrong with it. The lag may be from the air box iteself, hard to say without know what all has been done and what type of CAI it is.
Ok. The MAF meter I took off had a different serial number than the one I received. They are both the same brand just different numbers. The CAI is haltech killer bee.
Should I have or need to disconnect the battery from changing the sensors?
looks like part number 25168491 was superceded to 25318411 and then again in 2007 to 15904068. These are all functionally the same sensor, don't know what changed to make GM change a part number but they are all used on the same applications. If you go and purchase one from GM you will receive the latest part number which is the 68.
