torque tube removal???

Default torque tube removal???

i have my motor out of my car already and was tring to pull the torque tube out but can figure out how the shifter linkage disconnects from the tranny to pull it an body know what to do???

take apart the console and take the shift **** off..Remove the few bolts that hold the rubber pad in around the shifter. When that is out you will see a rod coming out of the shifter box that connects to the shifter rod, loosen that torx bit and it will come separate.

I did all that and there's still a rod running from the trans thru the torque tube, that's what I'm tring to disconnect

At the back of the shifter box there will be a torx head bolt, take that all the way out and that will let you slide that out when you pull the tranny out.
