i just ordered LEDS and i had the acc mode with the power running to check how my new were, i guess for 20 mins the car was on , and then when i went to start it, 3 clicks and the dic said no fob detected, my doors, seats, radio work , but the car wont start , i bought the yellow optima battery which is one of the best about 2 years ago, i haven't ran the car for about 3 weeks, should i wait an hour to see if the car starts, do i need to jump start?
Yea, the battery is just too low to start it. The system is very picky about having the right voltage. Jumping may or may not work. Best bet would be to charge it overnight or at least a couple hours. But whatever you do to get it going now, be sure to do a full charge ASAP and might be worthwhile to check the battery condition under load after charging.
If the Optima battery has less than 10 volts, it will NEVER be able to be charged "normally"! You will have to connect to another 12 volt battery and connect the charger...all the same time. After the Optima battery has charged over 10 volts, you can disconnet the 12 volt battery and continue charging the Optima battery.
I had a problem with my Optima battery and the Optima representative told me to do...and it did work.
After several years ago, the same problem started ago. This time, I took the Optima battery to the local representative store. They charger (tried) for two days and finally told me the battery will not charge. Guess what I told them?!? Naaaa...I can't tell you that...but I can tell you I purchased an AC Delco battery!!
