Power Packages
The longer version, so stop here is if the only value you can add is do a search or something useless like that.
Just got back from the local shop and am expecting an e-mail with a few options for my 2011 C6. Great shop and people there. Anyway, I'm looking at the below scenerios and wanted your expert opinion/advice on what to expect from a HP/TQ perspective. Additionally, if anyone has this info, estimated 1/4 times with these mods. My goal for this exercise is strictly bang for buck performance. Not concerned about sound at this point.
I'm considering based on two basic assumptions. One, if I want to do any type of CAM or Power Adder down the road (or as part of this build) I have to go with 1 7/8 ; and Two, the cat back decission is based on the understanding that it's only for sound. I don't know if/how true that statement is so I'd like real world (preferably dyno'd) advice.
1. VaraRam CAI, 1 7/8 Longtubes w/cats, Corsa cat back and dyno tune.
2. VaraRam CAI, 1 7/8 Longtubes w/cats, stock cat back (being told stock flow equals that of after aftermarket, minus the sound), CAM (not sure which one, but mild), dyno tune.
3. VaraRam CAI, 1 3/4 Longtubes w/cat, stock cat back, dyno tune.
4. VaraRam CAI, 1 7/8 Longtubes w/cat, stock cat back, dyno tune.
Thanks for the rookie questions but I couldn't find this combo using the search.

When you use the term "cat back" are you referring to the axle back? If you go with longtubes they will come with the X pipe to mate up to the axle back. Adding headers with Xpipe would be a great addition with or without a change in the axle back. You would see a 3-5 hp increase by going with the corsa axle back over stock.
The average RWHP increase from headers, CIA & tune is 30-40 at the tire. Headers are a must if the cam is in your future.Option 1 or 4 gets my vote until you're ready to pull the trigger on the cam.

You'll gain almost nothing with a catback exhaust. You're better off picking up some Z06 mufflers and having the option of doing the "mild to wild" modification.

Thanks.
I was DEEP staging (for better reaction time) and that will take some ET and MPH out of the run, I'm guessing if I was "shallow staged" I would have run 11.95 @ maybe 118 - 119 mph..
I still have the stock converter, and am using cats on my KOOKS long tube headers..
